Fantastic location, service and food, many thanks for squeezing in two extra family members last minute, I love everything about this pub/restaurant, nothing is too much trouble and all staff are superb, wish it was my local x
Can’t fault the food we had. Steak and mushroom pie with veg for me , chicken and leak pie with chips for my husband. Portions were huge, absolutely delicious. Service was speedy and efficient and the young man serving us was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this lovely pub.
Stopped for drinks and crisps while walking from Abington to Saffron Walden. Nice old fashioned interior and tasty-looking menu. We’ll be back…

Unassuming pub from the outside; but not only does it do lovely reasonably priced food, it has rooms too! I booked a table, advisable as it got quite busy. Vegetarian options available, welcoming staff
Fantastic meals at The Crown, Little Waldon at lunch time today. The cod with bread crumbs and cheese was scrumptious. Hubby had Guinness Ale Pie and chips! Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating for our group of 7. Worth the trip up from London to meet our friends there.
